Wyckoff Wall of Planning: Newlywed Tour Episode 1
In the video above we introduce you to our bedroom, well one wall of our bedroom: The Wyckoff Wall of planning. A wall only a few have seen before.
This is a calendar we started only a couple months after we started dating. We have used it to chart out our shows, our plans, our goals and the things we hope to do. However, we’ve added things to the chart we never thought we would have. Things like moving to Oregon, getting married and other unforeseen life changes.
Recently we added a new row to our wall of planning, in this video we talk about what are our plans are for this new row. (Read More)
Husband and Wife (finally): Her Story
Doug posted about the wedding last week and now it’s my turn. First of all, I should say, which is ironically if you read Doug’s last post, that reading it made me cry. All 20 times I read it, that day. The next day too. For someone that announced constantly that he would never get married and would never marry me, I’m glad he decided to surprise me and change his mind.
So I suppose I should talk about the wedding from my viewpoint. One thing I found interesting in the last few days leading up to the wedding was… (READ MORE)
The He & She Show: His Story
What the HELL! Was I thinking. I got married again. I said I would never do this again. I told her from the first date that, “I will never get married again. I will never marry you” Yet, here we are in the picture above. It’s just a few hours from the actual ceremony and we could still laugh like that. That’s why.
I did 17 years of hard time before this in a previous marriage. It sounds like I’m saying it like it was a prison sentence, well it was: the food was terrible, sex was like conjugal visits and there was a lot of crying yourself to sleep on the edge of the bed at night. I did get some great kids from it though and now Teresa’s joke about wanting to adopt a 17 year old has come true. Give em one good year.
Why did I get married again? (click to read the rest)
So Doug Wyckoff aka “He” was going through old videos tonight and they were killing me. They basically highlight how different our lives were just a little over a year ago. Here are a few videos, after my surgery, before we went to Portland for the fist ever “He & She Show:

Doug Wyckoff is a seasoned and established comedian in his own right. He is also a founding member of the famed Hawaii comedy group and production company: Power Up Comedy, where he also produced, promoted and performed large monthly comedy shows and weekly open mics. He has performed in world-renowned comedy venue’s like The Comedy Store, The Improv, Ice House, Ha Ha Cafe and many others. He can be seen on Grey’s Anatomy, CSI New York and if you look closely you can see him in the box office hit Bridesmaids. Doug Wyckoff is an irreverent stand up comedian whose obstinate humor is universally offensive to all creeds, races, and cultures. He is non sequitur in his comedic performances, a lone wolf howling at the moon yet a leader of his pack, at least in age, and in his own mind. He brings laughter wherever he performs: from the world famous Comedy Store to monthly shows on Maui and sold out headline touring shows on the mainland US. He also co-headlined with The He & She Show with his now fiancé for sold out shows in Portland and the Hawaiian islands. He has performed with comedians like Tom Arnold, Whitney Cummings, Chris D’elia, The Greg Wilson, Don Barnhart, Ron Morey, Curtis “Chino” La Forge, andTeresa Sickels.
Teresa Sickels, the aforementioned comedian fiancé of Doug Wyckoff, is a sarcastic, dry and witty comedian with embarrassing and usually awkward moments that have become comedy jewels for all of us to share in. She is originally from the Portland are but moved to North Carolina where she started performing Stand Up Comedy, then New York City where she really started to learn the craft, in Maui she became one of the founding members of Power Up Comedy; a comedy performance group and production company based here in with which she worked to produce, promote and perform in large monthly comedy shows as well as weekly open mic comedy nights before moving back to her home state of Oregon. Her unique brand of comedy is subtly a bit naughty but wrapped in an innocent and sarcastic package. Teresa has headlined for the Female Comics of Hawaii show in Honolulu. She has also professionally toured the mainland of the US as well as co-headlined with The He & She Show in sold out shows in Portland and several the Hawaiian islands of Maui & Kauai. She has performed with stellar comedians like Manny, Maldando, Curtis “Chino” La Forge, Don Barnhart,The Greg Wilson, Ron Morey and of course: Doug Wyckoff.
Eugene comedian Chris Castles will host this event. Oregon’s own Chris Castles has been honing his craft on stages in the northwest for years. In addition to a brief spot on Last Comic Standing in 2007, as well as two sets onComcast On Demand in 2007 & 2008, he has also performed at the University of Oregon, casinos all over the Pacific Northwest and has been a regular at Portland’s Bridgetown Comedy Festival since it’s conception in 2008. Chris is also a regular on 101.5 KFLY’s The Donkey Show, which is rated #1 in Oregon 5 years in a row. He also hosts an open mic at The Green room in Eugene, Oregon that is currently the only weekly comedy show in the city.
Chris has a seasoned blend of observational humor, deadpan one-liners and painfully revealing life experiences. Whether he is discussing the mysteries of the avocado, his tales of surviving the Tsunami in Thailand, or his battle with drugs and alcohol throughout his twenties, he always makes it engaging and hilarious. Hecklers beware, Castles is quick on his feet, taking any situation and incorporating it into his act with ease. This is one battle-hardened comic you will not soon forget!
